Thanks to Denise, who recommended this talk. She wrote,
When I heard you speak about violence in the non-alcoholic as a possible topic, I immediately thought of an Al-Anon talk I heard on the XA speakers website. It was by Carl H. from Hollywood, CA given in Calgary, Canada in 2010. He is an excellent speaker and addresses this topic head on concerning violence toward his alcoholic, in this case, his wife, as well as talking about how the program helped him heal in other relationships.

Thank you so much for what you do…I have recently discovered your podcast and love to listen to it. I was wondering if there was a written transcript anywhere about the dog & cat analogy?…I’d love to read it at my Alanon meeting. Peace to you!
I am not aware of a transcript. You might have to just listen to it over and make your own? If you do, please post it back here so we can all share it!
Hello Spencer. I just finished listening to Carl H’s talk which was excellent from 2010 in Calgary, Canada. My question is immediately when Carl started his talk he said he promised Chris (sp?) that he would do something. It sounds like he crumpled up a piece of paper that brought on a lot of laughter from the audience. Do you know what he actually did to get that much laughter? Thank you.
Sorry, Michael. I have no idea. Maybe someone listening was there and would know.
