Dear Spencer, thank you so much for the wonderful talk from Cynthia C. I plan to take a page from her book and totally focus on Serenity as the prime goal of my life, and that means, reading CAL literature, working the Steps, Traditions and Concepts, attending meetings, Service, and listening to therecoveryshow. All the best and thank you again so much. Alanon is a miracle working in my life. Pat
Insightful. The speaker talked about her first step to finding love was admitting hate. Once I thought about it, I realized I have experienced this myself. I grew up thinking hate is wrong. Alanon taught me emotions aren’t wrong. They just are.
This speaker told my story, I listened as if it were an intense, dramatic movie, hoping that in the end all would find recovery and live happily ever after. Although I still felt sadness and disappointment that her husband never stayed with his program and continues to drink, this is what my HP is showing me is still possible, that recovery can be mine to claim and live into even while those I love are still active in their disease.
